ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Restaurant Cook at Denny’s, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes while maintaining Denny’s high standards for quality, cleanliness, and service. You’ll also assist with training new kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety in every dish served.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Restaurant Cook, your main duties include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling procedures
- Ordering and receiving supplies and kitchen equipment
- Supervising and assisting kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment
- Managing kitchen operations to ensure smooth service

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
Experience:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience
Work Setting:
- Restaurant in an urban area (on-site only)
Certifications & Skills:
- Food safety awareness and adherence to kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
