Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and daily living assistance to residents
- Delivering meals and supporting residents during mealtimes
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene, including showering and grooming
- Supporting individual care plans, including walks, exercises, and mobility assistance
- Encouraging and participating in recreational and social activities such as puzzles and games
- Ensuring residents’ comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
- Working collaboratively with the care team across rotating shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in aged care or a similar caregiving role
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive and lasting relationships with residents and colleagues
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts
- Willingness to work part-time hours (24 hours per fortnight on a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule)
