Caregiver Jobs in Auckland. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Summerset – Care in Auckland City, Auckland. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting older adults and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. You will work as part of a supportive care team, helping create a safe, healthy, and enjoyable living environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and daily living assistance to residents
  • Delivering meals and supporting residents during mealtimes
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene, including showering and grooming
  • Supporting individual care plans, including walks, exercises, and mobility assistance
  • Encouraging and participating in recreational and social activities such as puzzles and games
  • Ensuring residents’ comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
  • Working collaboratively with the care team across rotating shifts

Requirements

  • Previous experience in aged care or a similar caregiving role
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive and lasting relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Availability to work a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts
  • Willingness to work part-time hours (24 hours per fortnight on a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule)
