This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of land development projects while building a clear pathway toward a senior engineering position. You will work closely with experienced engineers and play an important role in supporting team operations and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide land development consultancy services for a wide range of projects, from large-scale master-planned developments to small residential and infill projects
  • Design and prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings using 12D
  • Assist in managing multiple projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, contractors, and external consultants
  • Coordinate project elements including schedules, contracts, and resources
  • Prepare and manage documentation related to resource consents and liaise with local councils
  • Support and uphold Quality Management and Health & Safety policies
  • Assist with technical development initiatives and administrative requirements
  • Mentor and support junior team members where required

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Surveying (e.g., BEng, BSurv)
  • Minimum 4+ years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in land development within New Zealand
  • Strong working knowledge of civil engineering design standards and processes
  • Experience in preparing technical reports and project documentation
  • CPEng or RPSurv certification is desirable but not required

Skills

  • Proficiency in 12D design software
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate within a team
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with strong problem-solving skills
