Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks as directed by Production Supervisors or Managers within current competencies
  • Carry out Aluminium MIG and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) to approved procedures
  • Interpret and follow weld procedures and technical documentation
  • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in safe working condition
  • Attend and complete required on-the-job training
  • Work collaboratively to improve team performance and production processes
  • Comply with BAE Systems Maritime Australia policies and safety standards
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and quality

Requirements

  • Recognised trade qualification in welding or a related field
  • Experience with Aluminium MIG welding and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Ability to understand and follow welding procedures
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Reliable timekeeping and attendance
  • Australian citizenship (required for Defence security clearance)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Defence security clearance
