This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople to work on major Australian infrastructure projects while being part of a respected and long-established fabrication company.

Job Responsibilities
- Performing welding tasks using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and SMAW (Stick) processes
- Reading and interpreting welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Selecting appropriate consumables and welding variables
- Producing high-quality fabricated steel components
- Operating and maintaining welding machines and fabrication equipment
- Using measuring tools, power tools, and hand tools safely and accurately
- Ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards
- Reporting to the workshop supervisor and collaborating with boilermakers and other team members
Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welder) or equivalent
- Ability to pass a welder qualification test
- Considerable experience in GMAW (MIG) welding
- Ability to read and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Current and valid Australian driver’s license
- Experience in operating fabrication equipment
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
Skill
- High-level welding and fabrication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Problem-solving and technical skills
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Experience with TIG, Flux-core, or Stick welding (advantageous)
- Experience with stainless steel welding (advantageous)
- Forklift, Dogman (DG), or other high-risk licenses (desirable)
