Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects including drainage, roading, and infrastructure works
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans
  • Organize and supervise site labour, materials, and equipment
  • Prepare sketches, plans, and engineering designs
  • Estimate project costs and ensure work stays within budget and contract requirements
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety compliance
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure all projects meet engineering standards, safety regulations, and deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction
  • Recognised qualification in Civil Engineering, such as:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or
    • New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil), or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods and standards
  • Full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence (preferred)
  • Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
