Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering construction projects
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Determine construction methods, materials, and quality standards
- Coordinate site labour, materials, and equipment delivery
- Prepare sketches, plans, and engineering designs
- Estimate material costs and monitor project budgets
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Ensure all work complies with regulations and contract requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant construction industry experience
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods and processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good knowledge of safety and quality standards
- Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence preferred
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
