Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Select and prepare appropriate welding equipment and materials
- Cut, shape, and assemble aluminium components using welding tools
- Perform welding using appropriate aluminium welding techniques
- Inspect welds to ensure strength, precision, and quality standards
- Finish welds using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper operation
- Follow workplace health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant welding experience, OR
- Relevant qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Experience working with aluminium materials preferred
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- New Zealand residence or valid work visa
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
