Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe any changes in health or behavior, reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Administer medications according to care plans and privacy regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility equipment to safely transfer residents when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of care activities and update care plans as required.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, team members, and family members regarding patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital sign observation.
- Understanding of care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, developmental disabilities, or autism.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting clients with mobility.
- Must obtain or possess a Fingerprint Clearance (required).
- Strong commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
