Responsibilities
- Perform steel fabrication and repair work on various tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Conduct welding and maintenance operations according to instructions and job specifications.
- Inspect equipment after welding and report defects or maintenance needs.
- Plan and set up welding operations before starting assigned tasks.
- Weld frameworks and components using multiple welding processes.
- Grind, sand, polish, and finish fabricated items using hand and power tools.
- Operate manual machine tools as part of the fabrication process when required.
- Monitor availability of welding consumables such as gas and welding wire.
- Coordinate with management to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times.
Requirements
- At least High School Diploma or Vocational qualification preferred.
- NC II Welder certification and relevant work experience are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in basic and advanced welding processes.
- Knowledge of TIG, MIG, oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and electric plasma cutting.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Physically fit and able to perform fabrication and welding duties.
