Caregiver Jobs in Auckland. Summerset – Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our brand-new care centre in Whangarei, Northland. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a premium aged care facility from the very beginning, where your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care and daily living support to residents
  • Assist residents with hygiene needs, including showering and grooming
  • Deliver meals and support residents during mealtimes
  • Assist with individual care plans, including walks, exercises, and mobility support
  • Encourage and participate in recreational and social activities such as games and puzzles
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for residents
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to meet residents’ physical and emotional needs

Requirements

  • Experience in aged care or a related industry is preferred
  • Moreover Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 0 to Level 3 (or willingness to work toward certification)
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Commitment to a 4 days on / 2 days off rotating roster
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a resident-focused approach
  • Empathetic, patient, and caring nature
