Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Assist clients with dressing, toileting, and oral care.
- Support safe ambulation, mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Assist clients with prescribed exercises and range-of-motion activities.
- Perform routine housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and dishwashing.
- Care for clothing and linens (washing, drying, ironing, mending).
- Shop for groceries, household supplies, and personal essentials.
- Run errands and pick up medications as directed.
- Prepare meals according to client needs.
- Participate in required company training programs.
- Maintain accurate and legible client charting and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members.
Requirements
- Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program or equivalent healthcare coursework.
- Experience or training as a homemaker preferred.
- Valid driver’s license (if driving during work hours).
- Clean DMV record and automobile insurance (when applicable).
- Understanding and compassion for elderly and frail clients.
- Ability to travel to client homes.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts reliably and punctually.
