This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents while working in a supportive, values-driven environment. Multiple permanent part-time positions are available across various shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care assistance with daily living activities while treating residents with dignity and respect
  • Support residents with mobility in accordance with individual care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely healthcare documentation
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in social and recreational activities
  • Build positive relationships with residents and their families
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for residents, visitors, and team members
  • Work under the guidance and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management

Requirements

  • NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 2–4 (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aged care (preferred)
  • Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
  • Willingness to work rotating rosters, including weekends and shift work
  • Commitment to delivering person-first, high-quality care

Skills

  • Genuine passion for caring for the elderly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow care plans and organisational procedures
