About the Role
As a Companion Animal Veterinarian, you’ll be responsible for providing a full range of veterinary services in a well-equipped private practice. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Corner Brook, NL, with flexible shifts including daytime, evenings, weekends, and on-call availability. Two positions are available, and Animal Health Centre is ready to welcome new veterinarians as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
As a Companion Animal Veterinarian, you will:
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in companion animals
- Perform surgeries and routine/emergency medical procedures
- Advise clients on feeding, hygiene, behavioural care, and general wellness
- Administer vaccinations and preventative treatments
- Supervise animal health technologists and care staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and support clinic safety protocols

Required Skills and Qualifications
Animal HEalth Centre is looking for candidates who have the following:
Education & Licensing
- Degree in veterinary medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification
- Licensure by provincial/territorial authorities (or eligible)
Experience
- Experience an asset—but newly licensed vets are welcome

- Physical stamina and attention to detail
- Team-focused with strong ethics and judgment
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role requires:
- Fast-paced clinic setting with a mix of routine and emergency care
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and performing detailed tasks
