ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Cook at Hakka Khazana Bar & Grill, you’ll play a key role in preparing authentic Hakka and Asian-fusion dishes that delight our guests every day.
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position offering steady hours and an opportunity to build your culinary career in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cook with Hakka Khazana Bar & Grill, your main duties include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes
- Ensuring food is cooked safely and according to recipes
- Preparing dishes for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions
- Inspecting kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and safety
- Training and mentoring kitchen helpers and new staff
- Ordering and managing kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Maintaining inventory and keeping accurate food records
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and workstations
- Managing daily kitchen operations and supporting service flow

EQUIPMENT & SPECIALIZATION
You may work with or around:
- Commercial kitchen stoves, grills, fryers, and ovens
- Food preparation and safety equipment

REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for the Cook position, you’ll need:
Education:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of cooking experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- Food Handler’s Certification (asset, but not mandatory)
Skills & Qualities:
- Passion for culinary excellence
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to cleanliness, safety, and presentation
- Ability to train and supervise junior staff
