Responsibilities
- Assist in feed production management including feed planning and weed/pest control
- Apply fertilizers and assist with irrigation requirements
- Support the milking process ensuring hygiene and milk quality standards are maintained
- Operate and maintain the farm’s effluent system according to regulatory and company standards
- Implement and assist with animal health programs, calving, wintering, and calf rearing
- Maintain accurate herd and farm records, reporting any issues to the Farm Manager
- Work closely with the Farm Manager on the business plan and maintenance schedules
- Adhere to all company policies, health and safety requirements, including the use of PPE
- Assist in following best practice environmental guidelines to support farm sustainability
Requirements
- Physically fit and willing to learn on the job
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal record
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to live onsite in provided employee accommodation (no drive-in option)
- Willingness to comply with farm rules including no pets policy
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid visa)

- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
