Addiction Pet Foods is seeking reliable and hardworking Factory Process Workers (Loaders/Packers) to join our production team in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Factory Process Worker (Casual), you will support production operations by performing key tasks such as loading, packing, batching, and handling raw materials and finished goods. This position requires flexibility to work across morning, mid, and night shifts, including weekends.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring products meet quality standards and are packaged efficiently and safely for export.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Loader/Packer, your duties will include:
- Packing finished products to correct weights and targets
- Stacking packaged goods safely on pallets for export
- Accurately recording packed products and identifying issues in QC records
- Traying or packing raw dehydrated foods
- Batching raw materials to specific weights and production targets
- Loading raw materials for production use
- Maintaining records of batched materials and addressing discrepancies
- Assisting in producing raw dehydrated foods and providing backup for extrusion operations
- Following all Plant Health & Safety procedures and maintaining cleanliness
MATERIAL HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unloading, checking, and inspecting inwards goods and containers
- Ensuring received materials meet quantity and quality standards
- Operating forklifts safely and performing pre-shift checks
- Conducting stock counts and maintaining organized storage areas
- Keeping workstations, shelves, and pallet areas clean and safe
- Moving raw materials, packaging, and finished products throughout the warehouse
- Assisting in other departments as needed (batching, packing, etc.)
- Following proper waste and recycling procedures
- Adhering to safety techniques when handling materials and equipment
- Locking up and securing the facility at end of shift (if last on duty)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: No formal qualification required (training provided)
Experience:
- Previous pick/packing or warehouse experience preferred
- Experience handling loads up to 25 kg
Skills and Attributes:
- Physically fit and safety-conscious
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Sense of urgency and reliability
