JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Farm Veterinarian, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing veterinary services to dairy, sheep & beef, and lifestyle block clients
- Diagnosing and treating animal health issues, both on-farm and in-clinic
- Building strong working relationships with clients through clear communication and trust
- Supporting farmers in proactive animal health and biosecurity planning
- Participating in shared on-call responsibilities as part of a supportive farm team
- Staying current with industry trends, best practices, and continuing education

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Franklin Vets is looking for a candidate with:
- Experience: 1+ years in a veterinary role (ideally farm or mixed practice)
- Education: BVSc or equivalent, and eligibility to practice in New Zealand
- Skills: Clinical competence, strong communication, relationship-building
- Personal Attributes: Professional, proactive, team-oriented, community-minded
