Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of hospital rooms, hallways, and common areas
- Perform routine and deep cleaning using appropriate equipment and chemicals
- Clean walls, vents, ceilings, lights, and interior/exterior windows
- Perform bed cleaning, discharge cleaning, and emergency spill cleanup
- Follow infection control procedures and hospital safety standards
- Identify and report maintenance or repair needs
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (required)
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow hospital policies and infection control procedures
- Willingness to complete background and vulnerable sector checks
