Responsibilities

Planning & Organizing

  • Follow the daily cleaning schedule based on room allocation.
  • Ensure housekeeping trolleys are stocked, clean, and well-organized.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the local area to support guest inquiries.
  • Attend daily briefings and scheduled training sessions.

Operational Duties

  • Clean guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and offices according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of room services and hotel facilities.
  • Use cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, etc.) safely and correctly.
  • Manage operating supplies responsibly to minimize waste and breakage.
  • Safely position cleaning trolleys in corridors to ensure hazard-free passage.
  • Report maintenance issues, unusual activities, or guest concerns promptly.
  • Handle Lost & Found items according to hotel policies.
  • Ensure safe lifting techniques and proper health, hygiene, and safety practices.
  • Greet guests politely and assist them with any inquiries or service needs.

Administrative Tasks

  • Complete daily checklists for cleaning tasks.
  • Secure all keys properly during and after shifts.
  • Ensure documents, guest information, and internal records remain confidential.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage.
  • Warm, caring, and friendly personality.
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver service with professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks safely (lifting, moving cleaning equipment).
  • Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with hygiene protocols, safety regulations, and hotel procedures.
