Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and Stick methods in accordance with AWS standards.
  • Assemble automotive components including chassis, frames, exhaust systems, and structural parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
  • Inspect welds for defects and ensure proper alignment and fitment.
  • Maintain compliance with quality and safety standards throughout production.
  • Collaborate with engineers, assemblers, and quality teams to meet production targets.
  • Assist in training junior team members on welding techniques and procedures.
  • Maintain tools, welding equipment, and a clean work environment.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of automotive assembly and welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MIG welding (TIG and Stick experience required).
  • AWS certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS welding specifications and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate to Plattsburgh, NY.
  • Ability to travel to Drummondville, Canada for training (valid passport or enhanced license required).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
