Responsibilities

  • Promote and support jobsite safety in alignment with Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm® program
  • Assist with subcontractor safety orientations, documentation, and weekly safety inspections
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and support development of scopes of work and bid packages
  • Help manage document control, including distribution of updated drawings and specifications
  • Support planning and scheduling activities, including submittal schedules and material tracking
  • Administer RFIs and submittals, ensuring timely coordination and approvals across project teams
  • Track subcontractor progress and verify work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Maintain as-built drawings and assist with quality control inspections
  • Support cost tracking, change management, progress reporting, and project documentation
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including manuals, as-builts, owner training, and final turnover

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project coordination
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction project management
