Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and/or SMAW (Stick) processes
- Interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to select appropriate consumables and variables
- Fabricate steel components to required specifications and quality standards
- Operate and maintain welding machines, measuring tools, power tools, and hand tools
- Work closely with the workshop supervisor and fabrication team to meet production targets
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards at all times
Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welder) or equivalent
- Ability to pass a welder qualification test
- Considerable experience in GMAW (MIG) welding
- Experience with TIG, Flux-core, and/or Stick welding (advantageous)
- Experience welding stainless steel (advantageous)
- Strong ability to read and interpret WPS documentation
- Current and valid Australian driver’s licence
- Forklift, Dogman (DG), or other high-risk work licences (highly regarded)
