Job Responsibilities

Performing welding tasks using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and SMAW (Stick) processes
Reading and interpreting welding procedure specifications (WPS)
Selecting appropriate consumables and welding variables
Producing high-quality fabricated steel components
Operating and maintaining welding machines and fabrication equipment
Using measuring tools, power tools, and hand tools safely and accurately
Ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards
Reporting to the workshop supervisor and collaborating with boilermakers and other team members

Requirements

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welder) or equivalent
Ability to pass a welder qualification test
Considerable experience in GMAW (MIG) welding
Ability to read and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS)
Current and valid Australian driver’s license
Experience in operating fabrication equipment
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices

High-level welding and fabrication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Problem-solving and technical skills
Reliability and strong work ethic
Experience with TIG, Flux-core, or Stick welding (advantageous)
Experience with stainless steel welding (advantageous)
Forklift, Dogman (DG), or other high-risk licenses (desirable)
