Responsibilities
- Weld and assemble steel components using the MIG welding process
- Operate oxygen/acetylene torches and MIG welding equipment
- Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Work accurately using both metric and imperial measurement systems
- Measure, mark, cut, and weld materials according to production plans
- Use hand sanders and other hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ensure all work meets established quality standards
- Minimize material waste and optimize production efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
- Communicate effectively during shift changes to maintain quality and output
- Actively participate in all health and safety initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of MIG welding experience
- DEP in Welding or related trade (or willingness to learn for qualified candidates)
- Ability to read and interpret structural plans (training provided if required)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of motivation and attention to detail
