Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a range of metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, technical plans, and welding symbols
- Ensure all welding work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and project deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding (production or workshop environment)
- Ability to read and understand fabrication and welding drawings
- Strong understanding of workshop health and safety practices
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be currently based in New Zealand and legally eligible to work
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
