JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Farm Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily farm operations, particularly around research sheep flock care
- Monitoring animal health and welfare in line with established protocols
- Assisting with feeding, yard work, and livestock observations
- Performing general farm maintenance and security checks, including on weekends and public holidays
- Helping implement research project activities in collaboration with scientists
- Following safety and emergency procedures, including training participation
- Recording data, maintaining equipment, and reporting any irregularities
- Driving vehicles as required for farm-related duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have a current driver’s license and willingness to travel for farm duties
- Show interest or experience in farming, livestock handling, or animal care
- Are detail-oriented and reliable under both routine and changing conditions
- Work well independently and as part of a research-focused team
- Can follow instructions accurately and maintain high safety standards
- Are available for weekend and public holiday work as required
- Are eligible to work in Australia (must provide evidence of residency or valid work permit)
- Are willing to undergo a National Police Check and emergency preparedness training
