This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new, premium care centre from its very beginning, where your work will make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents. Summerset Whangarei is preparing to open a state-of-the-art care centre within a beautifully established village, set to become a cornerstone of aged care in the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with personal care, including hygiene and showering
  • Supporting residents during mealtimes and delivering meals
  • Following individual care plans, including walks and light exercises
  • Encouraging and assisting with recreational and social activities
  • Building positive, respectful relationships with residents and team members
  • Maintaining a high standard of care in line with Summerset’s values and policies

Requirements

  • Experience in aged care or a related care industry (preferred)
  • Level 0 to Level 3 Health and Wellbeing Certificate (or working toward one)
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Ability to work a 4 days on / 2 days off rotating roster
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
