Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions by observing physical and mental status, intake and output, and activity levels.
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support patients’ independence by teaching proper use of assistive devices like canes, walkers, and adaptive utensils.
- Educate and assist family members in patient care techniques, including safe lifting, repositioning, and maintaining hygiene.
- Record and update patient information accurately in journals or reports.
- Notify the nursing supervisor of any changes or concerns in patient condition.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and health safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the patient’s overall well-being.
Requirements
- TESDA NC II Certification as a Caregiver (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Training certification.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant caregiving experience.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with patients suffering from acute or chronic medical conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically capable of performing patient care duties.
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule.
