Responsibilities
- Clean care home rooms, communal spaces, and village areas to a high standard
- Conduct regular “spring” and “deep” cleans as required
- Ensure infection control procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines and standards
- Manage residents’ personal laundry with care and respect
- Maintain stock control for cleaning products, equipment, and linen
- Work collaboratively with the care team to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience (domestic or commercial) preferred but not essential
- Laundry and infection control experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling (training provided if needed)
- Excellent communication skills and good command of English
- Positive, respectful, and reliable attitude
- Must be available to work every Saturday
- Must have valid work rights in New Zealand
