JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:

- Provide warm and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Operate the till to take orders and process transactions efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain hygiene standards and follow proper food handling practices.
- Support healthy eating initiatives by catering to allergens and dietary requirements.
- Minimize waste and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards.

Compass Group is seeking Catering Assistants who meet the following qualifications:

- Education: No formal qualification required, but food handling certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service or food handling is preferred.
- Work Setting: Hospitality / Catering / Food services
Skills:
- A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic food handling knowledge (training provided if required)
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Experience with POS systems is desirable
- Adaptable and willing to take on various kitchen and service tasks
