Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist customers with general banking inquiries, including:
- Providing account balances and transaction details
- Replacing debit or credit cards
- Updating personal information
- Resolving online banking issues
- Investigating transactions, disputes, and fraud inquiries
- Logging complaints and capturing customer feedback
- Provide accurate and compliant information following strict identification and verification protocols
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date with systems and processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service (highly desirable)
- A strong interest in banking, finance, or customer experience
- Confident computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic under pressure
- Minimum qualification: Year 12 (or equivalent)
- Must have valid Australian work rights and be able to pass background and police checks
- Willingness to attend on-site training (first 3–7 weeks)
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace (for remote work)
