ABOUT THE ROLE

IronFleet Logistics is hiring a full-time Transport Truck Driver to manage freight transportation, vehicle inspections, and safe delivery operations across Ontario and beyond.

Transport Truck Driver – Permanent, Full-Time

You will operate straight or articulated trucks, manage cargo documentation, communicate with dispatch, and ensure safe and efficient delivery of goods. This role is ideal for drivers with 7 months to under 1 year of experience who are reliable, safety-focused, and ready to grow in a strong logistics environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on operational needs, duties may include:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload cargo safely
  • Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and related equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Address customer concerns and maintain professional communication
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo details, hours of service, fuel consumption, and distance travelled
  • Arrange travel routes, itineraries, and make required reservations
  • Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
  • Handle payments for goods delivered
  • Ensure all safety standards and regulatory requirements are met

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

You’ll work with:

  • Straight trucks and tractor-trailers
  • Loading equipment and tie-downs

  • Valid passport (required)

  • Ability to manage long or varying shifts
  • Strong communication skills with dispatch and customers

Documentation Knowledge

  • Driver logbook
