Reporting to the Branch Manager with a dotted line to the Shop Foreman, the Welder plays a key role in ensuring the safe, technical, and cost-effective execution of shop and field operations.

Responsibilities
The Welder will be responsible for maintenance, servicing, fabrication, and repair of company equipment and components.
- Welding, fabricating, fit-up, and layout work
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Performing air arcing, grinding, and cutting torch operations
- Repairing trucks, trailers, rental equipment, and related assets
- Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Checking for defects and shaping component parts
- Participating in safety meetings, tailgate meetings, and site inspections
- Reviewing SOPs, JSAs, and worksite observations
- Ensuring compliance with company HSE standards
- Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Monitoring and reporting welding consumables inventory
- Assisting in training Apprentice Welders
- Supporting team members with daily shop and project activities
Requirements
- Previous fabrication experience (required)
- Strong understanding of welding practices and methods
- Ability to determine the most suitable welding method for each task
- Experience with air arcing, grinding, and cutting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
