ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Chef at LA PETITE COLLINE, you will play a key leadership role in planning menus, supervising kitchen staff, preparing specialty dishes, and ensuring all food meets the highest quality standards. Youโll bring creativity to the table by designing new recipes while managing costs and inventory.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in North York, Ontario (M2H 0A7). Work is on-site only, with 30โ40 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Chef at LA PETITE COLLINE, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards
- Estimating costs and monitoring food inventory
- Supervising sous-chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff (3โ4 people)
- Creating and demonstrating new recipes and cooking techniques
- Preparing and cooking meals, including specialty dishes and banquets
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Preparing dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should have:
- College, CEGEP, or non-university diploma (3 months to less than 1 year) OR equivalent experience
- 3โ5 years of proven culinary experience
- Specialization in Cantonese cuisine, Dim Sum, and International dishes
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
