ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Factory Picker at Programmed’s client site, you’ll be responsible for accurately picking and preparing orders, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring products are safely moved and handled.

This is a casual, on-site position offering a great work-life balance with Monday to Friday, 6:50am – 3:00pm shifts and an hourly rate of $31.19 (inclusive of 25% casual loading).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Factory Picker, your main duties include:

  • Picking and preparing orders in a team of two to supply parts to production
  • Conducting manual handling of goods up to 15kg
  • Assisting with inventory control and stock management
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Following all safety and operational procedures
  • Reporting any issues or hazards to your supervisor promptly

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

You’ll work in a factory and warehouse environment, handling:

  • Pallet jacks, trolleys, and lifting equipment
  • Order sheets and scanners
  • Packaging and storage materials

The role involves standing for extended periods, manual lifting (up to 15kg), and teamwork in a fast-paced production setting.

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this role, you should have:

Education:

  • No formal qualification required (training provided)

Experience:

  • Previous experience as an order picker, warehouse assistant, or factory hand (desirable but not essential)

Skills & Qualities:

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks safely
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude towards safety and cleanliness
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
