JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Dairy Farm Sheep Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist with feed production and management.
- Help manage weeds and pests to maintain pasture and crops.
- Ensure the effective operation of all aspects of the milking process, including plant hygiene and somatic cell count maintenance.
- Operate and maintain the effluent system in compliance with regional council requirements.
- Assist with maintaining good animal health and welfare.
- Support lambing and lamb rearing to minimize losses and ensure high-quality replacements.
- Maintain flock records.
- Assist in managing repairs and maintenance schedules for all farm machinery and infrastructure.
