ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Welder at CTS Truck Equipment & Repair Specialists, you’ll play a vital role in fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal components for commercial trucks and trailers.
You’ll work on-site at our Brampton facility, operating a range of welding and metalworking equipment to ensure our vehicles and parts meet high safety and performance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Welder with CTS, your main duties include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, and robotic welding equipment
- Examining welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications
- Operating flame-cutting, brazing, soldering, and metal-shaping machinery
- Fitting, fabricating, and repairing metal components for commercial trucks and trailers
- Using hoisting and lifting equipment safely during assembly and repair work
- Performing maintenance and minor repairs on welding tools and equipment
- Adhering to company safety, environmental, and quality assurance standards

EQUIPMENT & SPECIALIZATION

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate required
Experience:
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant welding experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- Basic security clearance (required)
- Welding certification or trade qualification (asset)
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy materials
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces or at heights
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work performed on-site, no remote option
- Environment may include exposure to noise, dust, odours, and outdoor conditions
- Physically demanding tasks; standing for extended periods required
