Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers or deliver rental vehicles across the Auckland region.
- Use mobile computer systems and radio networks to manage bookings and coordinate vehicle movements.
- Pick up passengers from designated locations, taxi ranks, or when hailed, and deliver them to their destinations.
- Plan routes using navigation systems and local knowledge to ensure timely arrivals.
- Assist passengers with luggage and provide basic instructions about vehicle features.
- Collect fares, process payments, and issue receipts as required.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking fuel, cleanliness, tyres, lights, and general condition.
- Refuel, clean, and return vehicles to the branch or depot after use.
- Report any vehicle damage, maintenance issues, or incidents promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle movements, mileage, fuel usage, and service needs.
- Provide courteous and helpful customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving complaints.
- Occasionally collect and deliver parcels or small items.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Be flexible to work weekends as required.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 1 New Zealand Driving Licence or equivalent if overseas qualified.
- Proven driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to operate GPS and mobile communication devices.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Physically able to assist passengers with luggage.
- Flexible availability, including weekends.
