Key Responsibilities
As an Animal Assistant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide daily care for puppies and adult dogs
- Feed animals and ensure they have fresh drinking water
- Conduct general wellbeing checks
- Clean and maintain kennels, puppy areas, yards, and other animal facilities
- Assist with exercising, socialising, and safely handling puppies and dogs
- Monitor animals for changes in behaviour, health, or wellbeing
- Report any health or wellbeing concerns promptly
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and general presentation of puppies
- Prepare puppies for appointments, customer visits, and collection
- Maintain accurate feeding, cleaning, and animal-care records
- Assist the wider team with general duties
- Help keep the facility clean, organised, and running smoothly
