ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Gardening Assistant at Ventia, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor areas, gardens, and lawns across our commercial sites.
You’ll work alongside a supportive team, helping to mow, trim, weed, and shape beautiful landscapes that make communities and facilities look their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Gardening Assistant with Ventia, your main duties include:
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and pruning plants
- Weeding and mulching garden beds
- Maintaining garden tools, equipment, and machinery
- Assisting with planting, irrigation, and landscaping projects
- Ensuring gardens and outdoor areas are tidy, safe, and visually appealing
- Supporting senior gardeners and supervisors with seasonal maintenance work
- Following company safety and environmental standards

EQUIPMENT & SPECIALIZATION
You may work with or around:
- Lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- No formal qualification required; training provided on the job
Experience:
- Previous gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience (an asset but not mandatory)
Licenses & Certifications:
- Full or restricted driver’s license preferred
- Safety or horticulture-related training (advantageous)
