ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Plumber at Geisinger, you’ll perform skilled plumbing work including installation, maintenance, and repair of water, gas, air, steam, and drainage systems throughout our healthcare facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Plumber with Geisinger, your main duties include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing air, vacuum, and piped gas lines and related equipment such as pumps, tanks, and dryers.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic water piping, pumps, tanks, coils, and water heaters.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing steam piping systems and distribution equipment including reducing stations, valves, and sterilizers.
- Installing and repairing plumbing fixtures and associated components.
- Maintaining and repairing sanitary drains, sewers, storm sewers, and sewage pumps.
- Performing preventive maintenance and scheduled equipment inspections.
- Completing job completion forms, daily reports, and maintenance logs.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and plumbing codes.

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
You’ll work with:
- Industrial and commercial plumbing systems and tools

REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for the job you must have the following;
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program (Preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in skilled plumbing work (Required)
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair skills
- Understanding of safety codes and standards
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Computer literacy and basic mathematical aptitude
