This full-time position is ideal for individuals with MIG welding experience who are committed to quality, safety, and teamwork within a fast-paced steel fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and assemble steel components using the MIG welding process
  • Operate oxygen/acetylene torches and MIG welding equipment
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Work accurately using both metric and imperial measurement systems
  • Measure, mark, cut, and weld materials according to production plans
  • Use hand sanders and other hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ensure all work meets established quality standards
  • Minimize material waste and optimize production efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
  • Communicate effectively during shift changes to maintain quality and output
  • Actively participate in all health and safety initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of MIG welding experience
  • DEP in Welding or related trade (or willingness to learn for qualified candidates)
  • Ability to read and interpret structural plans (training provided if required)
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of motivation and attention to detail
