ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Construction Worker at Glowstone Canada Inc., you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining a variety of construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. From preparing and pouring concrete to erecting scaffolding and assisting in demolition, every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow your skills.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position offering $35.00–$42.00 per hour (to be negotiated) with flexible hours and steady, ongoing work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our construction crew, your duties will include:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Measuring weights and preparing materials for rigging or hoisting
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, forms, ramps, and barricades
  • Assisting with drilling, blasting, and demolition work
  • Cleaning and maintaining construction sites
  • Performing routine maintenance and handling cleanup of spills or debris
  • Directing traffic at or near construction zones

EQUIPMENT & SPECIALIZATION

You may work with or around the following equipment:

  • Tools: Concrete vibrators, saws, drills, air compressors, mortar mixers, chain saws, compactors, and forklifts
  • Construction Areas: Driveways, sidewalks, roads and bridges, residential and commercial projects, tunnels, water mains, and roofing

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Environment: Outdoors, at heights, underground, noisy, dusty, hot, and sometimes hazardous
  • Settings: Urban and rural construction sites, with staff accommodation available
  • Type of Work: Green job — supporting Canada’s environmental and net-zero goals

REQUIREMENTS

In order to qualify for the position at Glowstone Canada Inc. you need to have the following:

Education:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year

Skills & Qualities:

  • Reliable and safety-conscious
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and schedules
