ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Room Attendant at Alt Hotel Ottawa Airport, you’ll be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. You’ll help ensure that every guest feels at home through your attention to detail, consistency, and positive attitude.
This is a part-time, on-site position, offering $21 CAD per hour. Training begins between December 29, 2025, and January 2, 2026 — join us as we prepare for our exciting grand opening in January!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Room Attendant, your primary duties include:
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to meet or exceed cleanliness and presentation standards
- Changing linens, making beds, replenishing towels, and restocking amenities
- Dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all surfaces and bathroom areas
- Reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Coordinating with housekeeping supervisors, front desk, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
- Responding with care and attention to guest requests
- Contributing through your individuality, professionalism, and creativity to enhance the guest experience

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
You’ll work with:
- Housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies
- Laundry, vacuuming, and sanitizing equipment
- Guest amenities and linens
The work is performed on-site within guest rooms and hotel corridors. The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout your shift.
REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for this position, you should have:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Room Attendant, Housekeeper, or similar role (Preferred)
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and a sharp eye for cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderately heavy loads
- Respect for privacy, discretion, and guest comfort
