Key Responsibilities

As a dump truck driver, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Professionalism in customer service
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
