Farm Pride Foods Ltd has multiple full-time positions available across several farm locations.
Farm Worker – Poultry Operations (Multiple Positions)
You will assist with daily poultry farm operations including bird care, feeding, egg collection, cleaning, monitoring, and general farm duties. This role suits individuals with previous farm or animal-handling experience—or those eager to develop a long-term career in agriculture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
For Poultry Farm Workers:
- Carry out daily bird care including feeding, watering, and egg collection
- Clean and sanitise barns, sheds, equipment, and farm work areas
- Monitor the health and behaviour of poultry, reporting any abnormalities
- Assist with handling, movement, and vaccination of birds
- Maintain accurate farm and production records
- Follow strict biosecurity, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
You’ll work with:
- Feeding and watering systems
- Egg collection equipment and monitoring tools
- Cleaning tools, sanitising systems, and PPE
- Farm vehicles and handling equipment
Work conditions include:
- Indoor and outdoor farm environments
- Early morning shifts and weekend work
- Exposure to dust, heat, cold, and livestock
- Physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for this job, you need the following:
Experience
- AQF Certificate Level 1 or equivalent
- Previous farm or animal-handling experience preferred
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
Skills & Qualities
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow routines and safety procedures
- Comfortable working around livestock and varying temperatures
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willingness to work weekends, early mornings, and public holidays
Biosecurity Requirements
Due to strict biosecurity standards, applicants:
- Must not own or live with anyone who owns birds, poultry, or pigs
- Must follow quarantine policies provided at induction
- Must adhere to all biosecurity rules without exception
