RESPONSIBILITIES
Your daily duties as a welder may include:
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Examine completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Operate plasma cutters
- Perform gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
- Operate welding machinery and equipment safely
- Clean and maintain welding equipment
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Maintain quality standards during welding and fabrication work

EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZATION
To qualify for this job, applicants should meet the following requirements:
Languages
English
Education
No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Experience
Previous experience is considered an asset.
Welding Techniques
Experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) is required or beneficial for the position.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
Candidates may work with:
- Gas welding machines
- Band saws
- Plasma cutters
- Welding equipment
- Hoisting and lifting equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is fully on-site and involves working in a physical manufacturing environment.
